the longest tourism promo I've seen - Indonesia & Bali

This really is the longest country-produced promo video I've seen, at 11 minutes long. With over 17,000 islands, Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago, and this video showcases the best ones, including Bali and Komodo. The footage is stunning, but I actually find given the length of the clip, the editing is actually too fast, and I find too much focus for my liking on culture and cuisine over the natural beauty. Still, you can't help but admire this jewel in southeast Asia.

Eco Scuba Diving in Indonesia - Kima Bajo, Manado

Here's a great promotional video for Kima Bajo Resorts, just outside Manado in Indonesia. The whole environment looks very luxurious and is well presented. The only thing odd is that given it's emphasis on eco diving and scuba diving around stunning North Sulawesi, there's surprisingly little actual underwater footage, mostly towards the end. But what there is features fantastic reefs, corals, colorful seahorses and beautiful schools of fish. Certainly a great all around holiday vacation and would be a trip of a lifetime!

Bali Dive Safari - detailed tour ideas for Indonesia

Chris Mitchell / Sport Diver

Here's a great detailed article of a scuba dive safari in Bali Indonesia. This really is all about the diving, including specific locations and the types of animals that you can find in this part of South East Asia. The last couple pages also touch on the land portion of the trip and the Balinese culture found in Ubud. A fun read with good ideas for any holiday vacation in Bali. Indonesian Mimic Octopus copies many animal shapes

Check out this video of the Indonesian Mimic Octopus, first discovered off the coast of Sulawesi in Indonesia. This octopus is able to copy the shape of many different underwater animals, including a sea snake, lion fish and flounder. Able to change colour, shape and even behaviour, this highly intelligent creature apparently can mimic over 15 different species! I hope to scuba dive Indonesia some day, and this would definitely be a highlight...
